Families of students who are majors in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management are invited to a special lunch at the McCutchen House! Two seatings are available at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost is $15 per person, which includes lunch and the McCutchen House cookbook (a $25 value!). Reservations and advance payment are required. Germany has a rich history of cuisine varying from the southern regions like Bavaria and Baden to the distinct northern regions like Schleswig-Holstein. The cuisine of Germany is rich, heavy and full of flavor, which is perfect for the fall. Cost is $60 per person, and reservations are required. Culinary Graduaton 2009 Bonefish Dessert1986 HRTM alumni Cliff Arthur, joint venture partner of Bonefish Grill, and his team of chefs and wine experts presented an evening of fine foods and wines prepared by the students of HRTM 370 Night Class (under the direction of the Bonefish chef Tom LaFauci ) Featured Bonefish premium menu selections are  Crab Cakes, Breaded and Grilled Cod Filet, Seafood Gumbo and dot_clear.gifStrawberry Shortcake. Of course, all guests enjoyed Bonefish’s Signature Dish “Bang Bang Shrimp”


Executive Kitchen Teambuilding Program

The Executive Kitchen is a new program offered at The Culinary Institute at Carolina. Our corporate team building program goes above and beyond the average cooking class of chopping carrot and onions. It can help your company improve communication, raise productivity, spark a new wave of creativity, and enhance and build employee morale and kinship.

The Executive Kitchen can offer creative ways to unite teams and establish new and lasting rapport. It is a unique way to develop the corporate “family” or make any holiday party memorable for the right reasons.

Our private wine tastings are offered to anyone who has a private group of 15 or more. Whether it’s a group of friends or a group from work, you will experience great wine, great food, and learn about the differences is wine types, how to select wines, and pair them with food.

Jules Pernell and award winning truffles, McCutchen House, Restaurant Management

Chef Jules Pernell, CEC, CCE, FMP and current and former HRTM students recently participated in the National Truffle Festival held in Ashville, NC. The students (Joe Corradino, Charles Adams, Amanda Rolandi and Courtney Peralta) assisted Chef Pernell with a seven course truffle dinner in conjunction with Shelton Vineyards as well as other special events.
The Festival was sponsored by the American Truffle Growers Association and attracted visitors from North America as well as Europe.
