Welcome to the Journal of Venue and Event Management (JVEM) sponsored by the Sport & Entertainment Management Department at the University of South Carolina. JVEM is an international peer-reviewed publication devoted to the dissemination of theoretical and applied research studies focused on the management of venues and events. It is the express purpose of this journal to stimulate management professionals, academic faculty, and undergraduate and graduate students to engage in independent and collaborative research and to encourage the submission of their findings for publication consideration.

The inaugural issue of JVEM was launched in May 2009. A second issue is scheduled for release in November 2009. The publication schedule for future issues will depend on the number of accepted manuscripts. It is a goal of JVEM to publish on a quarterly basis.
