The BAIS has three components:
- The USC general education requirement (37 credit hours)
- The elective category (47 credit hours)
- The interdisciplinary major (30 credit hours) and the required major courses (6 credit hours of HRSM 301 and IDST J497)
Each student must present at least 120 approved hours to receive the BAIS degree. Of these 120 hours, at least 36 must contribute to the major and at least 30 (including HRSM 301 and IDST 497) must be earned at USC after admission to the BAIS program.
Area of Concentration Approach:
*15 hours of upper-level work in one HRSM disciplinary area
*15 hours of upper-level work in a second disciplinary area
*6 hours in IDST 497 and HRSM 301
