Doug Price

Doug Price is responsible for all professional development functions of Destination Marketing Association International, including life-long learning, professional certification, and academic affairs. He has more than 20 years experience in different facets of human resources consulting and over 25 years sales experience. In 1995, he founded his own business, Keystone Consulting, to focus on sales training, management development, and customer service improvement. He merged his company with The Miles/LeHane Group, a prominent career management consulting firm, where he served as president.

Price is a recognized public speaker and the author of two books, License to Sell and License to Serve. In 1990, Price was named National Employment Marketing Vice President, a strategic planning position responsible for directing all SBUs in meeting their recruitment goals. Price led the way as 200 Marriott Sales, Catering, and Convention Service managers and directors obtain Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, the standard of excellence for the meeting industry. Price is a board member of HSMAI, past Chairman of Marriott’s Customer Leadership Forum, and a former member of Purdue University and University of Delaware Advisory Boards.

He earned an associate degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Northern Virginia Community College, and his BS degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. He resides in Herndon, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
