ABOUT THE GRADUATE PROGRAM

The Master of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management (MSEM) is designed to train students for middle management and leadership roles in the sport and entertainment industry in general, and the venue management industry in particular.  The degree program offers:

  • the graduate curriculum with the most comprehensive emphasis on venue management (arenas, stadiums, amphitheaters, etc.)
  • a curriculum and environment that develops potential and current managers, expanding their management and leadership skills
  • outstanding faculty with years of practical experience in the sport and entertainment industry – marketers, venue managers, promoters, lawyers, and agents
  • professional and personal growth in an atmosphere that cultivates long-term networking opportunities leading to expanded career opportunities
  • opportunities for study and work experience in outstanding venues such as the Colonial Center and Williams-Brice Stadium
  • a curriculum suitable for both those who have and those who do not have an academic background in business
  • non-thesis and thesis options

Most students complete the 36 credit hour MSEM curriculum over the course of three semesters.  Summer courses are available and may be used to shorten the time in the MSEM program.  For information on courses and the curriculum, see Curriculum.  For information on the application process, please visit How to Apply.
