Biography:
Lauren Welch joined the Department of Sport and Entertainment Management in October 2010. She has been with the University of South Carolina since 1999, previously with the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, Distance Education and Instructional Support and University Housing.

In addition to her responsibilities as an academic advisor, Lauren is coordinator of the Department of Sport and Entertainment Management Living and Learning Community.

Welch received her undergraduate degree from Columbia College in 1997 and her Masters in Education from the University of South Carolina in 2006. She received the Ada B. Thomas Outstanding Advisor of the Year for the University of South Carolina for 2011.

She has two children – Jamison and Hannah Frances.  She is an avid Gamecock fan, loves listening to Jimmy Buffet, reality television, reading and photography.
