For information about the 2008 event, click here.

The Department of Sport and Entertainment Management’s annual tennis tournament, the Carolina Splash, is organized by Sport and Entertainment Management majors. Proceeds from the event go to scholarship opportunities for students within the department.

Held over the course of three to four days, the tournament attracts league tennis players from across the Midlands of South Carolina, competing in several divisions: men’s and women’s singles; doubles and mixed doubles; NTRP 2.5 – 4.5. Participants are treated with true southern hospitality, including a daily hospitality tent, a Players Party, and memorable event merchandise.

Please join us in swinging racquets for scholarships!

Legends Challenge Golf Tournament

A new tradition in the almost century-old rivalry between the Gamecocks and the Tigers, the USC-Clemson Legends Challenge Golf Tournament has become one of the signature events of Carolina-Clemson weekend each November. Rotating between the Walker Course at Clemson and a premiere course here in Columbia, the event has featured such stars as Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers of South Carolina and two-time Super Bowl winner Jim Stuckey of Clemson.

A wonderful way to enjoy the festival atmosphere of the Carolina-Clemson football game, the Legends Challenge also provides students and their families with a chance to meet these football greats up close and personal, as well as support the Sport and Entertainment Management Department scholarship fund in the process.

Contact the department at (803) 777-4690 for more information about participating in these two great events!
