  RETAILING INDEPENDENT STUDY, PRACTICUM AND INTERNSHIP POLICY
dot_clear.gif

The Department of Retailing follows University policy which states that USC students cannot get academic credit for work experience or independent studies after they have already started working on them. Therefore, this means that before any of the work begins, Retailing students must meet the following conditions:

1. Any GPA (grade point average) requirements must already be met;

2. All pre-requisite courses must already be completed;

3. All the required paperwork must be planned, completed, and signed in advance; and

4. The student must already be registered for either RETL 399: Independent Study, RETL
    295: Practicum, RETL 463: Fashion Merchandising Internship, and/or RETL 465:
   Retail Management Internship.

Students may not register for the above courses retroactively.

Students who are enrolled in either RETL 463: Fashion Merchandising Internship or RETL 465: Retail Management Internship may not simultaneously enroll in any other courses while enrolled in the internship. Internships are to be pursued and completed only during Summer I or Summer II.
