Biography
Dr. Bickle is a Professor and Interim Associate Dean at the University of South Carolina. Marianne teaches in the area of Principles of Retailing and Principles of Fashion Merchandising. Her research focuses on consumer satisfaction with cross channel shopping as a result of Internet retailing, e-commerce, and direct marketing. Her research is published in various journals including: Clothing and Textiles Research Journal, College Student Journal, Journal of Consumer Education, and Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal.  She also writes and speaks extensively on higher education, online education, and student matriculation strategies. 

Prior to arriving at USC, Dr. Bickle was in the Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University for 15 years. Her activities at CSU included Coordinator of Educational Outreach, Graduate Coordinator, Undergraduate Coordinator, and consultant for multi-billion dollar bricks-and-mortar, e-retailer, and direct marketers. Dr. Bickle earned her completed her Doctoral Degree in 1990 from Michigan State University. Dr. Bickle is a member of the Manchester Who’s Who Among Executive and Professionals; Who’s Who in the West; Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society; and Sigma Xi Honor Society.
