This website is designed to assist the high school educator in preparing students for the 2004 Shakespeare Live! touring production of William Shakespeare’s Cymbeline. In it you will find background information about the play, our production, and our actors. You will also find teaching tips, connections with West Virginia’s high school content standards and objectives, information on commedia dell’arte, our touring schedule, and links to useful sites.
Since 1992 Shakespeare Live! has been offering edited versions of William Shakespeare’s plays to schools and theatres in the Shenandoah Valley and West Virginia. We design our shows for production in any venue, from thrust theatre to gymnasium floor. We use lavish costuming, music, and dance to bring Shakespeare’s texts to life in any space. This year’s production of Cymbeline runs approximately eighty minutes and features six actors performing over twenty roles.
