The concept of Interdisciplinary studies is as varied as the students in the program. There is no single, widely accepted definition of the term.
The BAIS program in the College of HRSM can be planned out in two different directions.

1. Two separate academic disciplines with concentrations of at least 15 credit hours each. (One academic discipline MUST be from the College of HRSM.) Examples might be:
   Fashion Merchandising and Marketing
   Tourism Management and Environmental Science
    Entertainment Management and Business Management
2. A single theme that blends an HRSM discipline with other academic disciplines to form a 30 credit hour concentration. An example could be Ecotourism, Sport management, Retail management.
