MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the College of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management Alumni Society is to build an engaged and active alumni group who will work together with industry partners to create a strong network that supports college endeavors and current students.

Cory Boyd, '07 HRTM, was drafted into the NFL in April and has joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Andrea Houser,'07 RETL, is now an Inventory Control Buyer for The Children’s Group Inc., which is better known as Plow & Hearth, located in Pratts, Virginia.

Samantha Martin, '07 HRTM, is currently working as a study abroad advisor and program coordinator in International Education Programs at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. Her greatest accomplishment recently was winning the Rotary Scholarship.

Sara Piper, '07 HRTM, has been selected to be one of two finalists, picked from over 300 applicants, to become a Leadership Development Associate at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. UPDATE: Sara has been selected as the recipient and she will be leaving for Vegas in June! Looks like going to the HRTM Career Fair paid off for Sara!

Neal Webb, '07 SPTE, will be starting as the Coordinator of Events at Southern Virginia Facilities Authority in Martinsville, Virginia in June.

Amy Craig,'06 SPTE, is now the Event Services Coordinator at the Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas.

Kelly Gorton, '06 Masters in RETL, is an Assistant Buyer for Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas.

Aly Kennedy, '06 Masters in RETL, is now the Assistant Buyer for Designer Handbags at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.

Catherine Traylor, '06 Masters in RETL, has gone on to become a Design Consultant for C antoni Dallas.

Aza Wilson, '05 TSTM, is in the United Kingdom working for the NHS, National Health Service within the East of England Multiprofessional Deanery.

Melanie Knight,’01 RETL, has placed in the Top 12 for her Hot & Sweet Grilled Chicken recipe for Bush's Baked Beans National Perfect Pair Grillin'contest. The top four contestants go on to a televised cook off and the winner gets a $5000 backyard makeover and a spot on a Bush’s Baked Beans commercial. To vote for Melanie click here.

Perry Boykin, '99 TSTM, is now the Senior System Administrator for the Computer Sciences Corporations in Blythewood, SC.

Lisa C Jenkins, '92 TSTM, has completed her Masters of Science degree in Information Technology (IT) Management from Colorado Technical University, Colorado Springs CO. She has joined TekSystems as Senior Mainframe Applications Developer, working on the ITS/CARE Development Team at CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Owings Mills MD. She is working on her Ph.D. in IT Organization and Management, specializing in Project Management at Capella University, Minneapolis MN.

Lisa Stringer, '86 BAIS, is now the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel.
