One of the requirements of the department is the professional
internship program. Students are required to complete a supervised
work experience of a minimum of 300 hours. A faculty member, in
conjunction with a work supervisor, coordinates the internship
program.
Work supervisors are encouraged to provide a rigorous, structured
experience for interns with opportunities to work in a
management-oriented environment. Interns are expected to be
well-prepared, punctual, and enthusiastic employees.
Interns are required to complete a project during this
experience, which consists of an investigation of emerging
technologies. Interns are aware that they are to complete the
project on their time.
