My internship was fulfilled at the South Carolina Department of Revenue in Columbia, SC. The first thing I learned while seeking out this internship is how tedious and disappointing the application process can be. By having self confidence and desire I finally secured a position half-way through the summer. I have enjoyed my experience while working at the Department of Revenue. I have learned a lot about the revenue process that I was not aware of before my employment. I have also gained a wealth of experience working for a state agency.

The classes that I have taken at the University of South Carolina in the Technology Support and Training Management program that have prepared me for this position are Access Database, Excel, Business Communications, Corporate Training, and Technical Support. There has been a mixed bag of learning experiences, but I can say my training has given me the proper foundation to do well in my position. Also, some knowledge about operating systems has given me the ability to assist coworkers with answers to some of their computer questions.
