Biography
Ama Miller, Administrative Assistant for the Department of Sport and Entertainment Management, is living proof that "Students are our first priority!" Ms. Miller has served in her current position for several years and makes sure that the office is one of the most cheerful and helpful on campus.

Ms. Miller's greatest pleasure is to make sure that the first year for students goes as smoothly as possible. She is always eager and willing to help students solve problems and works hard to direct them to just the right place or person when difficult situations arise. She enjoys working with freshmen, especially, and often connects them with key faculty or other students when they need support. She knows how to "fuss at students" when their social life gets ahead of academics but provides plenty of TLC when they need it. She also has a secret weapon to get the students' attention at holiday time--homemade goodies--and says that this also helps the faculty and staff to do a better job!

Ms. Miller has several assistants who keep student records up to date and keep the office running smoothly. Undergraduate and graduate assistants working in the office help students complete scholarship applications and other paperwork they need for their academic programs. The student assistants also help send out Sport and Entertainment Department Alumni Directories each year. These directories help those who have graduated keep in touch and help them network with each other to find the very best jobs available.
