Biography:
Donna Watts received her Master of Science in Textiles and Clothing from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, where she also worked as graduate assistant to the Dean of the School of Consumer Science and Allied Professions. In her graduate work, Watts assisted with freshman orientation classes and coordinated fashion shows among other duties.
Watts joined the faculty in the Department of Retailing in 2009 as an instructor. Since that time, she has coordinated numerous fashion shows which have raised over $1300 for local charities. Prior to joining USC, Watts taught in the Texas Public School System. She also worked in the retail industry for eight years in various capacities, including management of two jewelry stores for a large corporation. She became a certified diamontologist with the Diamond Council of America in 1986. Watts also co-owned and managed large construction companies in Nashville, TN, and in Houston, TX, for 14 years. She has also worked in Yellow Page advertising and in marketing.
