Biography Dr. Sang Mi (Nicky) Jeon is a visiting professor at the College of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina. She is a recent graduate of Michigan State University. Her dissertation examined the influence of loyalty program value on customer satisfaction, switching cost, and attitudinal and behavioral loyalty in the casino industry. Her research interests have included hospitality and tourism marketing. Dr. Jeon has conducted extensive research regarding customer loyalty, satisfaction, service quality, and effectiveness of advertising/mail offers in casino industry, and web-based marketing for small hospitality businesses (e.g., B&B). Several of her papers have been accepted or are currently undergoing the review process for publication in journals. She also presented research papers at international conferences. Prior to graduate school, she worked as an assistant marketing manager for two years at an upscale Korean Traditional Restaurant in Korea that exclusively serves Japanese tourists. She was in charge of special reservations, sales, and promotions for travel agencies in Japan and Korea.
