The BAIS has three components:

The USC general education requirement
-
Professional foundations
-
The interdisciplinary major
- The elective category
Each student must present at least 120 approved hours to receive the BAIS degree. Of these 120 hours, at least 36 must contribute to the major and at least 27 (including HRSM 301 and IDST 497) must be earned at USC.
Area of Concentration Approach:

15 hours of upper-level work in one disciplinary area

15 hours of upper-level work in a second disciplinary area
-
6 hours in IDST 497 and HRSM 301
