The Basics
Develop your kitchen skills with our basics class! The Basics is designed to give the participants some basic knowledge on how to use, store and sharpen knives, the five basic sauces and how to break down a chicken. The class is designed for the novice in the kitchen or someone who wants to get a leg up and refine their skills.

Sept. 13
Tasting India
Explore the splendor and simplicity of Indian cuisine from north to south and east to west. Learn how a rich and diverse culture conjured up one of the world’s most unique cuisines. Learn to make kulfi (that’s saffron-pistachio ice cream), mughlai biryani (a rich, spicy chicken dish), chatpata channa raita (chickpeas in hot-sour yoghurt), prawns rava fry (semolina-batter-fried) and more.

Holiday Entertaining
‘Tis the Season! Well … almost. Time to start thinking about festive get-togethers with friends and family, holiday decorations, creative invitations, delicious foods and splashy drinks. This stress-busting holiday primer is brimming with quick-and-easy recipes for chorizo tortilla bites, pomegranate-glazed lamb kebabs and coconut shrimp with chili-lime sauce. Wow your guests with pomegranate mojitos and pepper martinis! These unique hors d’oeuvres and fun, new holiday drinks guarantee they’ll still be talking about your shin-dig this time next year!

Time to send “thinking about you” goodies to friends and family but … what to send? We’ll help you prepare rare treats that are sure to surprise and delight. Learn to make fun and unique holiday bites from all over the world … individual panettone, Mexican wedding cookies, almond toffee bark, decadent double chocolate fudge and more!

Gingerbread House
Ahh … the fresh, seasonal aroma of a gingerbread house. Delectable cookie-covered high-rises decked out with your favorite candies are fun to put together … fun to eat … and, well, a little bit messy. So, join us for hot cocoa, gingerbread, candy and fun. We’ll help you assemble your house, give you a few creative decorating tips and … the icing on top … you don’t have to clean up!

Wine 101
Become wine savvy in an informal setting that promotes continuous, casual conversation. Learn the big six wines. Learn what the experts mean when they describe wines as woody, oaky and … leathery? Learn how to select wine, how to store wine and how to pair it with your favorite dishes.

Sept. 16
Beer 101
Now your syllabus is complete! Learn beer basics while taking our fun crash course in beer history. Master beer pairing methods in a relaxed, knowledge-filled environment. Learn to recognize various beer colors, tastes and aromas, and improve your beer-cabulary: lagers, blondes, ales, no problem.

Oct. 7
German Beer Fest
The name says it all! Enhance your familiarity with German-style beers and develop a fresh appreciation for Deutschland’s robust beer-making traditions. Though the brewsky’s homeland is famous for its full-bodied beers, you’ll also acquire a taste for lighter, rich-flavored German beers. And you’ll learn how to pair beers with everything from brats and pecan pie to oysters!

Nov. 17
West Coast Wines
Take a ride along the west coast of America with our resident experts in American wines. California. Oregon. Washington. We’ll teach you the main characteristics of wines from each state, and you’ll learn how distinguish their complexities from one another. Plus, we’ll help you remember which foods to pair with your favorite wines from each region.

Dec. 2
Dessert Wines & Champagnes
Become the toast of the town by immersing yourself in the elegant world of champagne and dessert wines. This class is all about the bubble … the nectar of the wine world. Learn the difference between champagne and sparkling wines and … finally … what exactly makes a dessert wine a dessert wine? By the end of class you’ll be comfortable selecting, ordering and pairing these wines … finally.

Dec. 9
Martinis
Shaken, not stirred. Sounds good … but what’s the difference? Want an olive? An onion or a twist? How about gin vs. vodka? Demystify this complex cocktail by learning its history and succumbing to the growing popularity of the Martini Party! We’ll teach you to make Classic Martinis, Chocolate Martinis, Herb-Infused Martinis, Coffee Martinis and more.

The Whole Boot from Toe to Top Discover the rich flavor and diversity of Italian cuisine with us. Dive into Italy’s rich history of wine from the bold to the delicate. This Carolina Cuisine will take your palate on a journey from the north to the south of Italy and everywhere in between.

Oct. 3
Oktoberfest
Break out the beer steins and get ready to eat and drink! We will take you on a voyage of German cuisine. Germany has a rich history of cuisine that varies from the southern regions such as Bavaria and Baden to the distinct northern region like Schleswig-Holstein. German cuisine is rich, hearty and full of flavor – perfect for fall!

Low Country with Flair
Your Favorite Low Country Foods with a Twist Enjoy all of the wonderful delicacies of the Low Country. This Carolina Cuisine evening will delight you with the specialties that only the Low Country can provide, from the cuisine of the Sea Islands to the haute cuisine of Charleston.
